Reflections on Paris

My series “Reflections on Paris” stems from my regular visits to the city, which have taken place every November over the course of several years. The images consist of actual reflections that I compose like collages within my camera’s viewfinder.

Beyond that, however, I aim to capture surreal moments within this frequently photographed city—moments that portray people primarily as part of the urban fabric rather than as distinct individuals. A certain melancholy is also important to me; this quality arises partly from the time of year—November—with its unique atmosphere.

The series is an ongoing project and is therefore still in progress.
